I can officially say that I have been successful at this challenge for 2 weeks. Its kind of a big deal because I’m almost 14 days into 21 days to change a habit. I’m going to hang onto that rumor for another week and will report back.
Thursdayitis, aka Friday Eve, hit hard today. It was hard to focus on work but I made it through. The walk should have happened before work because honestly, after the walking, I’m wired for a good several hours. This wired and positive energy would do my work day good. I seriously need to work on that. Last night I couldn’t get to sleep until after 1…
The daughter and I did our walk, found a new route and had very enlightening conversation. I find that we are very judgemental about our neighbors homes and we like to criticize the homes. Yes, this would be deemed shallow by many, but to us, we are just building our perfect house in our minds. We truly do not have a mean bone in our bodies. It does seem like the new “trend” in home design is all white. Why all white? Its too bare to me. No personality. Reminds me of hospitals I suppose.
The pace of the walk was right on the under 20 minute mile pace. I’m never sore after these walks and I feel that I’m going to have to entice myself to up my ante to stay engaged with this challenge. I’m thinking I’ll expand the distance after the 21 day habit rule and then once that is secured, possibly work on the running.
On a different note, I did weigh myself this morning. As stated, I’m not watching my calories, not reducing the things I love. I am being aware and do find myself eating a crap load of veggies more than normal. I know that if you are consistent with your exercise, your body will change. It has changed. I am down 2.5lbs and I’m actually surprised by that number as I didn’t think I would lose anything. I know my ass is smaller because the hubbie can’t stop grabbing it any chance he can get. But the weight, that feels kinda good.
