I’m doing more

The past 2 days have been really, really fucking wonderful. I also have some fun updates to post and record for history sake. Let’s get down to business.

Yesterday being Monday, added to the trial run of last week, I have fully and wholeheartedly accepted the fact that when I walk in the morning, the day is fucking amazing. I don’t find myself stressing, I find a little more routine and I’m just better. I don’t really know any other way to explain it other than it is amazing. If you are ever going to try and do this, do the exercise in the morning. Period.

Monday, walked in the morning with a new walking buddy and really enjoyed myself. We did the 2 miles and did it 37 minutes. Amazing. The day sped by and I had a shit ton of energy so I started a little project. I got so wrapped up in just doing things that I forgot to blog.

Today, same thing-timing was amazing and did the 2 miles. Seriously, I’m on a fucking roll. Here is the kinda fun part. Since I’ve started this journey, I’m down 10lbs and 2.5 inches off my hips. To state it again, I am not doing this as just a weight loss type of journey, but a whole body and mental journey. The losing of the weight is an awesome result. I can truly say that I have not really changed my eating habits or consciously done it, but they have changed. Prior to this, I would just have coffee until about 10AM, then have a snack, then lunch, then dinner. Well now, I’m having something small right away, less coffee, minimal snacks, solid lunch and dinner. I’m chalking it all up to the constant exercise and dealing with the mental stuff. Not too shabby for 2 months in, eh?

I’ve also had additional things happen that are starting to add up, so let’s list them:

-Baby boy graduated from HS and did his grad party and all the other grad parties

-Baby boy decided where to go to college, got accepted, got financial aid and doesn’t feel like a failure (the struggle is real).

-Looking and interviewing for a new job. This will go my way and I’m confident.

-I have been reviewing mental health sites and I’m getting paid to do it this month (and write about it)

-I’m dealing with the loss of my Mom and I’m improving on it every hour

-I’m accepting that there are things I can’t change about people, but that is OK. I am learning MY boundaries with people and it feels healthy.

-I love my husband and his strength and we are learning how to live our lives without our children at home.

-I’m doing more and more everyday to be a better me and I’m allowing myself time to do it.
