Simply. Fucking. Amazing.

Here it is, 30 minutes before the end of the day and I’m finally able to write in here. Sheesh! These past few days, I have had NO time to do this and this, in itself, is something that I have been finding that I crave and need to do. It completes me. Gonna start with yesterday and then I’ll do today.

Yesterday, I couldn’t get in a walk before work. With my 7:30AM calls with the lawyers (for work), it hasn’t been easy and by Wednesday, getting up to walk and out the door by 6:15 hasn’t been fun. Anywhoooo, work sorta bombarded my head so I was out the door for a lunch and did my 3 mile walk. The music was a jamming and I had it finished in 56:44. Then it was back to work grind, went over to a friends and made an awesome dinner (had some fun wine), watched some Olympics and then attempted to hit the hay. Attempted, yes. Cause I was gonna quickly call my big brother and wish him a happy 49th birthday (and give him shit cause he’s an old grumpy, weird dude), but he ended up talking for about an hour and a half. Not complaining, love him and I love talking with him. (I love you Hoser).

Today, same thing, could not get out of bed (I’m telling you, the lawyers hurt and wear out my brain). Did the work and made lunch while on a call. This is silly, I know, but it was one of my meal kit meals. Then back to work, took a walk between calls (I’ll get to that in a sec), made dinner (another kit meal) then did MORE work until now. Releases happen on Thursdays so guess who got to do the regression testing?? It’s ok, cause my baby was born (thank you IT) and it fucking works! Kinda funny when you are testing and it works and your CCTBPO says, “Are you sure?” and “Really?” and “You are in Production right?” Testing done, drop the mic. BOOM!

Ok, here is the thing about my walk today (and kinda yesterday). I noticed a few things. Today, I did my 3 mile walk, but I sorta paid attention to some things. 1-My mile splits were, 18:44, 18:13 and 18:48. Yeah. RIGHT? How sick is that shit? 55:46. 2-I watched my heart rate after the 2nd mile. It hung around 132bpm. When I first started this challenge, at the end of mile 2, it was up to around 151bpm. Heart is getting stronger. Pumping that blood faster and better. 3-People suck at driving and don’t seem to care if they come close to you. I decided to do the MN wave to people if they moved out of my way, and by move I mean, just don’t ride the fucking white line. The drivers of those cars all did the wave in response to mine, cause they saw me. The other assholes, learn how to drive. And slow the hell down! 4-Thanks to the storm they call Debby-we have had nice, cool, not humid weather. Lovely and simply gorgeous weather the past few days. Because of this weather, I think the dragon flies have either decided to hang out longer, some new ones were born or something, but on my common path, they have been swarming my feet. Every few feet I’m smiling, I feel warmth on my back and I’m saying, “Hi Mama”.

Simply. Fucking. Amazing. Those 3 words. That is me right now.
